Saperda inornata

Saperda inornata
Hollis, Hillsborough County, New Hampshire, USA
June 19, 2005
Size: 11 mm
Taken in sweep net in broad swampy stream area. Agrees with image in plate 23, Yanega's book. Distinguished from similar-looking Mecas species by range. Couldn't adequately see tarsal claws, which are also used to distinguish between these genera.

Beetle was chilled for all shots. It apparently didn't warm up enough to fly. I like to get those spread-wing shots, but was in a rush this morning.
