This interesting Scorpion was found in the bathroom of the Lava bluffs trail-head parking lot . On my return after the hot hike , I found him 4' foot up on the outside wall . I did not know that they can climb so well . I don't know much about Scorpions other than that they can sting with their tail . Thanks for any comments , sincerely Beth

Pseudouroctonus iviei
This looks like Pseudouroctonus iviei (Family Vaejovidae).
It is quite common in hills from the Bay Area, to Shasta, then south again down the Sierra Nevada foothills, where you are.

It is very harmless, except for the Pain part.
