Sheet Beetle at Gathering_2008 - Aulonothroscus
University of Tennessee Research Station, Sevier County, Tennessee, USA
August 9, 2008
Size: 2.5 mm
This tiny beetle with the interesting antennae showed up the last night of the BugGuide gathering to listen to the stories being spun by our colleague from Pike County, Mississippi.

Moved
Moved from Trixagus.

With antennae like this, this ought to be a male Aulonothroscus.

Moved

yes, ought to be a Trixagus, one of rather distinct spp., too
*

Throscidae
is my first thought. Several in the guide already, but only ID'd to family so far. Should be able to get a couple to genus.
