Veiled Ear Moth? - Loscopia velata

Veiled Ear Moth? - Loscopia velata
Marion, Williamson County, Illinois, USA
June 3, 2022
Size: TL 18 mm
This moth came to the light on our porch. It looks like it belongs to the Apameas, Brocades, Borers group. Could it be a Veiled Ear Moth (Loscopia velata)? It shows dark patches, a lighter band above a darker terminal area, and also a heavily tufted thorax along with a series of raised scales along the inner median area (one of these is whitish). Can you confirm or correct? Thanks. I submit two images.
