If we're interpreting Googlemaps correctly,
Clingman's Dome is right on the North Caroline/Tennessee state line, but the parking lot is in North Carolina??

Hmmm
This does get complicated. The trail I took went down from the parking lot and then began to circle back towards the dome. Would this also be NC? Dave may be a good resource person here if you guys aren't sure.

We're pretty sure that
the state line is at the highest point of the ridge. Unless you crossed the divide, you should still be in North Carolina.
