Mating Clearwing Hummingbird Moths - Hemaris diffinis - male - female

Mating Clearwing Hummingbird Moths - Hemaris diffinis - Male Female
Dallas, Paulding County, Georgia, USA
August 10, 2008
Some species of Hummingbird Clearwing Moth...These were mating & I have others, some with this coloration & others were yellow/black..Only seemed to frequent small purple Lantana flowers

Moved
Moved from Hemaris.

I think I see
black legs on the female (the larger one), meaning these are Hemaris diffinis, unlike your other image. A different view would also be nice; we have a ton of photos of this species, but very few like this.

Legs aren't well visible
but the darker more blackish colour would suggest closer to diffinis.
