Acmaeodera horni

On Fallugia paradoxa

This a known location of this species--a location discovered by Norm Woodley only a couple of years ago. It was very windy when I got here, but thought I'd try anyway. I think that the high winds moved all Acmaeodera off the external flowers and into larger plants, which is why I collected this one on flower deep in a large Apache Plume plant. It was not active at all and despite more efforts, the only one I found.
