Identified to genus on Diptera facebook group and in iNaturalist to species based on there being only one species known to occur in the United States. Sorry for the poor focus, but the fly flew off after the first shot. It may be worth keeping, though, since there don't appear to be any other observations for the species in Texas on BG.
