Moved from Longhorn Beetles.

Are these two different specimens?
Neither is Anelaphus pumilus, but both are other Anelaphus species...

Um, well ...
I *thought* it was the same specimen, taken two days apart (a beetle I brought inside and added to a rearing cage). Should I unlink them?
Now I'm confused, because I have this one:

but also this one:

The two posted could be debilis? Or maybe the first one only? I guess I can't even distinguish them.

Also, completely unrelated, but do you recognise him?

Let's see if we can straighten these out...
The top specimen of the three is Anelaphus pumilus.

The middle specimen is another species of Anelaphus, but I'd have to take a closer look to determine which one, but debilis could very well be correct.

The bottom species is in the genus Ecyrus, of which there are two in Texas - dasycerus and arcuatus. Off the top of my head, I'm not sure how far north in Texas arcuatus ranges, or for that matter, how far south dasycerus goes.

Finally, I think both of the other two specimens are Anelaphus niveivestitus based on the combination of whitish pubescence on the elytra and yellowish pubescence on the pronotum.

If you could unlink all five of the images and post them individually, that would be helpful.

Got it.
Unlinkation has occurred. Thank you, Robert, for taking the time to sort these guys out. The original two posted here, now unlinked, as well as the Ecyrus remain at the family level for now.
Thank you for all your work here on bugguide!

Excellent!
I'll return to these yet this weekend and see if I can resolve things now...
