Chicken Body Louse - Menacanthus

Size: ~3 mm
Collected from the vent region of a bantam cornish chicken hen. I am fairly certain this is a Menacanthus sp., but I have thus far been unable to find a way to distinguish species. I strongly suspect that what are usually assumed to be M. stramineus are not always such, as the genus has a large number of chicken infesting species.
