Small Moth - Haematopis grataria

Small Moth - Haematopis grataria
Galena, Illinois, USA
August 10, 2008
Size: Approx 3/4 inch across
This little moth seemed to favour short cut grass.

Chickweed Geometer, I believe
- and a male, going by the feathery antennae. Chickweed often grows in short grass, so that's its natural habitat. See guide for more info.
