Red Cross Shield Bugs with nymph - Elasmostethus cruciatus

Red Cross Shield Bugs with nymph - Elasmostethus cruciatus
Fredericton, York County, New Brunswick, Canada
August 9, 2008
I found this group of shield bugs in the birch in my front yard. A live leaf was attached to a lower dead leaf, and the bugs were sheltered in between.
