Hi Steve,

Thanks for the further comments. I just wasn't sure if there had been DNA work that you were not aware of. I find it strange that MPG leaves so many data points for cinefacta on their site.

MPG maps
Many of the maps at MPG need to be updated. From what I understand this is not an easy task. Steve Nanz is trying to modernize the platform it is all built on so that maybe he can enlist some help with corrections/edits. Even with better maps, it will still be important for us to research on our own with the MONA fascicles and other publications that are referenced at BugGuide and MPG.

Apamea
Hi Steve,

Are you aware that MPG has A. cinefacta reported multiple times? I wonder if any were confirmed with DNA?

did you read my comment?
Yes I was aware and mention the MPG Colorado reports of cinefacta in my comment below. Since then I have also checked BOLD and there are no DNA confirmed reports of cindefacta from Colorado.

spaldingi
According to PNW Moths and MONA Fascicle 26-9, cinefacta does not occur this far east. The MPG records of that species showing in Colorado are probably just errant reports.
