A bit blurry where it ought to be in focus, but it's an action shot about what we were doing. These creatures appear to be hunters of opportunity, having no particular object of their constant searching but expressing great delight in finding small creatures whose images they record on their image making machines. Curiously, they seldom eat the creatures they find. Instead they emit a flash of light after which they gather their fellow hunters together and point with the finger at the creature they just flashed.

man what I wouldn't give to have been a part of this gathering.

do they have such gatherings in Canada too? I'd love to go to a Bugguide Canada photo gathering :) Looks like you guys had tons of fun.

Not to mention...holy cameras batman! Mine is just a Kodak easyshare, not even an SLR! Although I dream, oh do I dream of a DSLR with a macro lens...*droooooooooool*

Wow!
Talk about awesome camera equipment. I was aching to go to the gathering but couldn't (wouldn't have been fair to leave the wife alone with a new baby and a 2 1/2 year old).

Of course I can now see that my camera would have looked more like the batteries to that equipment than an actual camera. :-D

The trip looks like it was a blast.

Sponsor
We should get Canon to sponsor the next BG gathering - looked like it was the (un)official Bugguide DSLR.

Plus
a Powershot A620 and three S5 IS!!!

and
it shows the camera equipment!

My hand...
is in focus! If you use auto focus point selection, it will usually pick the closest object--that is why my hand is in focus and Stephen is a bit blurred.
