Spider - Tigrosa aspersa

Spider - Tigrosa aspersa
Prairie Haven, Buffalo County, Wisconsin, USA
June 23, 2022
Found crawling along a mowed trail through woods. Spiderlings crawling on its abdomen. Maybe a Wolf Spider? What is the tan patch on the cephalothorax - it seems to be only on one side?

Moved from Spiders.

The light patch appears to be some damage where the top layer of the exoskeleton has worn away.

Thanks!
Interesting to know.
