Size: about 3 cm
The flat head of a predatory Tiger Beetle larva at the entrance to its burrow, with pincers ready to snag any small prey that may venture too closely. Its white or cream colored grub-like body (around 3 cm in length) is positioned vertically in the almost perfectly round burrow.
