Sphinx moth of some kind? - Darapsa choerilus

Sphinx moth of some kind? - Darapsa choerilus
Alton, Belknap County, New Hampshire, USA
August 17, 2008
Was pruning a European cranberry ( Viburnum opulus 'Xanthocarpum' ) and found this hornworm munching away. Could it be a sphinx moth? If so, what kind?

We would suggest
Darapsa choerilus - Azalea Sphinx, in the guide here, and Viburnum is one of their foodplants. Nice find!
