Ceiling bug - Reduvius personatus

Ceiling bug - Reduvius personatus
Brampton, Peel, Ontario, Canada
July 27, 2022
Size: around 1"
Found indoors on ceiling at 5PM. Staying in one spot; crawling slowly; 6 legs; appears to be some kind of beetle. Something was flying around late last night, after door had been open. Not sure if this was it or if it flies. Only one seen.

Thanks for the ID :)
Interesting bug. Thanks for the ID! Now I know to take care handling this bug when capturing to put it back outside. Since it also eats woodlice, I assume it came from the gardens, where it would find many. I was curious what preys on woodlice, since last year I witnessed a grass spider try and continuously fail to kill & eat them.
