Bluet II - Enallagma durum

Bluet II - Enallagma durum
Belle Haven Park near Alexandria, Virginia, USA
August 12, 2008
I posted the companion picture separately as I'm not entirely sure that they're the same individual. The area by the water line was full of them. My guess is a Marsh Bluet.

Big Bluet
This is a male Big Bluet (Enallagma durum), IDed by the blue middorsal carina; the eyespots and occipital bar; and the black, arrow-shaped abdominal markings.
