Syrphid - Chalcosyrphus libo - female

Syrphid - Chalcosyrphus libo - Female
Bethlehem, New Hampshire, USA
June 20, 2005
Size: 8mm

Moved from Chalcosyrphus.

Moved from Xylotina.

Female in subfamily Xylotini
I thought immediatly of Chalcosyrphus piger (or pigra), but in that species the last segments of the abdomen are completely red, this one however has a big amount of black on segment 3 and further.
So I'm not entirely sure about the species!
