Size: ~ 3 mm
Although I really don't expect an ID, I've been thinking these might be
Aphis nerii
on Oleander... I thought that these shots showed the wings well.

Yes...Aphis nerii
Not too many focused winged specimens in the guide - this will help ID these guys in the future. Thanks.

thanks a lot, Ross! I didn't know we had any aphid-o-philes at BG - will move both sets of images to species page!
Edit: I note that our BG info. page says that there is controversy about whether this species of aphid is attended by ants? This aphid population certainly seemed to be tended by ants - if this of interest, I can try to document this with a photo and collect one of the ants...
