Melanoplus bivittatus? - Melanoplus femurrubrum - female

Melanoplus bivittatus? - Melanoplus femurrubrum - Female
Watertown, Middlesex County, Massachusetts, USA
August 16, 2008
I took a picture of an instar in June. Could this be the same one grown up?

Melanoplus femurrubrum
Nope, they're not the same, different species. However, the nymph of this one would have looked similar (and smaller at any given age).
