Most of the shots are a bit blurry, but the dense silvery patch in its recessed face plus color and shape of the metanotal process lead this specimen fairly straightforwardly to P. fulvicornis in the key of Kimsey (1987). It also matches well with the photos of collection specimens of that species at the Insects Unlocked photostream in Flickr and in the Discoverlife page for P. fulvicornis. Discoverlife quotes Kimsey & Bohart (1982) as commenting that the body coloration of P. fulvicornis tends to be more reddish at desert sites, but this White Sands visiting female nevertheless has the bright green and hints of blue they saw more often in specimens from moister environments.
