Based on the lack of modifica
Based on the lack of modifications to the foreleg and hindleg I would say that your specimen is a female. The males have an area of the foreleg that is modified for grasping the female. Blaisdell identified specimens from Fallen Leaf Lake in nearby El Dorado County as Scotobaenus (Centronopus) parallelus. I find it extremely difficult to separate the species of the Sierra Nevada, especially on the basis of female characters.
