Your Meadowhawk
Ruby Meadowhawks do not occur in our area. By the "banded" look of the abdomen as well as the red dorsal stripe and the two black dorsal spots on S8 & S9 I'd say your specimen is a male Variegated Meadowhawk. If you have another pic showing the legs (which are striped) or the side of the thorax to show two white stripes or yellow dots you'd have it clinched.

Wait for another id or two though to be sure.
