Sub-adult Phiddipus audax or P. workmani? - Phidippus audax

Sub-adult Phiddipus audax or P. workmani? - Phidippus audax
Oriskany, Oneida County, New York, USA
September 2, 2022
I found this fellow last week and it molted after 2 nights.

To the naked eye it looks mostly black, with one prominent central and 3 lesser white spots on its abdomen. Its legs have brown + black bands, and it has fuzzy gold palps that are slender when seen from below, vs "comma shaped" (and no sign of iridescent green).

Its underside is mostly black but its abdomen has two faint stripes of shimmery gold hairs that run front-to-back, with black down the center (more visible under bright light). It sometimes stands "tall / slender" and other times crouches down in a compact huddle, giving it varied appearances.

I've gone through the guide at length and think it is a sub-adult Phiddipus audax or P. workmani (?), but the gold palps and bronze shimmer on its head are throwing me. I think it is a male as I don't see any epigyne on its underside?

I apologize for the quality of my images; it is a quick little spider and I took these with an iPhone, zoomed in. Any help in determining its sex and maturity / age would be greatly appreciated.
