Heterogenea shurtleffi
Thanks for the correction Steve. Of course, I considered both of these moths, and had a difficult time making a decision. But I settled on T. pallida. It seemed to me that most shurtleffi had dark fringe whereas my moth had lighter fringe and was more red overall. Perhaps I was most convinced of pallida when I saw that there were no FL BG records for shurtleffi. Anyhow, I think I was hasty in my choice, but I'm still not sure I could distinguish these two species if needed. Any tips on what to look for? Thanks again for the ID help.
