Tersa Sphinx Moth Caterpillar - Xylophanes tersa

Tersa Sphinx Moth Caterpillar - Xylophanes tersa
La Porte, Harris County, Texas, USA
I found this guy happily munching my pentas. I ended up with 3 of them total. They are now in the chrysalis form and we're anxiously awaiting their emergence.

This is a great series
You should take more photos of the pupa as it develops.

Is the green one the same specimen?

Thanks!
The green one is a different specimen. I wanted to show the difference in the instar stages. The green one was in the 3rd instar and the brown one was in the 4th. The chrysalis is from the brown one. I hope to get a good picture of the moth when it emerges.
