Remarks
Not all galls are caused by insects and mites. This section is here to show some examples of plant galls induced by other organisms, such as fungi, bacteria, viruses, and nematodes. Since BugGuide only covers arthropods, the idea is to just show a few representative examples of other plant deformities that might be mistaken for insect or mite galls -- not to systematically cover anything.
