Neohelvibotys arizonensis? - Helvibotys pseudohelvialis

Neohelvibotys arizonensis? - Helvibotys pseudohelvialis
Off Hwy 74 and north of Jeraboa Rd., Pinon Flat Area, San Jacinto Mtns. , Riverside County, California, USA
August 30, 2022
Size: 1/2"
Seems like a close match to N. arizonensis based on geographic range and a postmedian line that is nearly erect at inner margin not slanted as shown for Helvibotys pseudohalvialis.

Moved
Moved from Butterflies and Moths. After some more digging, I now see that Hahncappsia fordi would not have any darker shading in the terminal area, so this must be Helvibotys pseudohelvialis.

prob not arizonensis
According to MONA Fascicle 13-2A, Neohelvibotys arizonensis is not found in California. This is more likely to be Helvibotys pseudohalvialis or Hahncappsia fordi and I cannot seem to find a way to differentiate between these two species based on photos.

moth id
Steve, I appreciate your time trying to id this moth. It seems this situation occurs quite often in SE California where there are many species that are very similar. At the same time, this is what makes it challenging and fun for me.
