Stag beetle - Lucanus mazama - Male

Size: around 2 cm
We found the two Stag beetles dead under the MV lights of the gas station. I searched all night, but didn't find any life ones. These are my first American Stags, so I'm going to post them anyway

Actually,
a fellow beetle collector, who gave us the tip, had just put new MP bulbs all around the station.
