striped spider - Neoscona oaxacensis

striped spider - Neoscona oaxacensis
tucson, pima County, Arizona, USA
August 24, 2008
This spider is on a web strung between the patio roof and roof support. It moves fast when something lands on the web. It hangs out either on the web or just above the web on the edge of the roof. the tube its on is about 1/2 inch wide. I'd like an idea of what it is.
