Lady Beetle Pupa - Harmonia axyridis

Lady Beetle Pupa - Harmonia axyridis
Sand Springs, Osage County, Oklahoma, USA
August 26, 2008
Size: 4mm (5/32")
Pretty sure the orange critter is a lady beetle pupa (please verify).
The fuzzy thing I believe is a gall, not a critter, although I've never seen a fuzzy one like this. It didn't have any legs but I also couldn't find a critter in or around it.
Is there a relationship between these two?
Please help with ID.

Moved from Harmonia.

Oak makes sense
I've seen fuzzy balls like these on oaks before. The pupa is Harmonia, the usual suspect. : )

The ladybird pupa is correct.
Not sure about the gall, i'm no expert on those. (If it even is a gall).
It might help for I.D.ing the gall to tell us what plant its on.

....
Blackjack Oak.
