Size: like a small ladybug
This guy was "running" around on an oak leaf.

I think it's a lacewing larva
- 6 legs and two strong jaws. Wouldn't be surprised if it has covered itself with fluff from an oak gall - they seem to take advantage of local materials. See debris-carrying larvae and compare below:

Not sure
I can only think of 2 other things which is a Scale insect, but with legs? And something that has covered itself with "stuff" to camoflauge.
