Phasiinae - Besseria anthophila

Phasiinae - Besseria anthophila
Fairbanks, Tanana Lakes, Fairbanks North Star County, Alaska, USA
July 1, 2022
I was going through a batch of photos from this summer and realized I had 2 individuals of a very similar fly taken at the same location and within minutes of each other. One of these was identified as Cylindromyia at https://bugguide.net/node/view/2137686

This one has a shorter abdomen (maybe - might be photo angle) and a very different black marking on the abdomen. Is it 2 different species, or just intraspecies variation, or sexual dimorphism?

I have not found reference to any Cylindromyia in Alaska.
