Methodically licking every nectary on a large patch of sandmat - Typhoctes peculiaris - Female
S end of Transfer Station Rd east of Wenden AZ, La Paz County, Arizona, USA

Size: body about 7.5mm long
I'm not going to venture an ID of the sandmat species, but there appears to be quite a mix at this spot and I'd seen (too fast-moving) female Typhoctes inspecting different-looking sandmat patches at the site on hotter afternoons in preceding weeks.
