Multicolored Asian Lady Beetle - Harmonia axyridis

Multicolored Asian Lady Beetle - Harmonia axyridis
Sand Springs, Osage County, Oklahoma, USA
August 27, 2008
Size: 6mm (1/4")
Pretty sure this is a Convergent Lady Beetle - Hippodamia convergens. I believe this one is the same as
However, this one is apparently very freshly molted. It had the shed "skin" close by. This one is much more yellow than I've seen before.

Please verify ID.

no... I believe this is Harmonia axyridis
I don't think this is Convergent, or even in that genus, the patterning on the pronotum is different from that of Hippodamia...

This is Harmonia axyridis, as seen here
The color is different, but that's variable, and the pronotal pattern is a perfect match. They're a weird, weird species

....
Yeah, you're right, it does have that black "W". I know that these are very variable, but completely yellow?? And the shape seems to be more like the convergent and not as "round" as Harmonia but maybe that's because it just emerged.

enlongated elytra
I noticed a similar thing when a laybird hatched, I noticed it was very angular and by the time it had colours it was perfectly (almost) round.

This was a Harmonia axyridis I was watching.

Yellow
I'd still wait for an aexpert, but I'm almost positive this isn't Hippodamia

....
I agree it isn't Hippodamia but I'm just not 100% sure it's Harmonia either, even with the pronotal pattern.
I guess the yellow is what's freaking me out.

Yellow isn't uncommon
Here's a good match for yours

Ok
Should I go ahead and move it?

yup
I would
