Stichopogon argenteus

Stichopogon argenteus
Cape May State Park, Cape May County, New Jersey, USA
September 8, 2006
Size: 6 mm
The Wilcox (1936) key to Stichopogon claims these have black legs, which is confusing.

Taken with my older macro setup from inches away.

Have not read that key. Perhaps he means under all that gray/silvery pollinose covering? Certainly it is not trifasciatus and none of the other species slips up in that direction. May also be trying to distinguish it from several of the eastern species that have red in the legs.
