Range
"Hybomitra frontalis is present in all areas of Canada below the treeline and in several localities well north of the treeline. In addition, by following tree growth along river courses, it is present in the northeastern states to the Dakotas and Montana, and south to Colorado. This is the largest range of any species of Tabanidae in North America."(1)
