Wow! The things I've seen since I took up macro photography have really amazed me. I was intrigued by the "trunk" looking thing on this one. I label the ones you folks are kind enough to identify for me so I can tell the kids in the "Bugging Out" class at our nearby nature center what they are. I have no clue about most of them... but I'm learning thanks to you guys!

Big family
The weevils comprise the biggest or one of the biggest families of beetles. Their mandibles are tiny, at the tip of their snout. Somehow that's an advantage to them.
