Crowned Phlyctaenia - Anania plectilis

Crowned Phlyctaenia - Anania plectilis
Moccasin Lake, Winston, Douglas County, Georgia, USA
August 29, 2008
Size: about 20 mm span
Attracted to porch light.

Moved

Probably Anania tertialis or plectilis
Could it have been over 22 mm when fully spread?

Fully spread
Yes the measurement quoted is as the photo shows, not fully spread

Not Sure
I laid it out in CAD and the wings would be 10 mm long making it A. tertialis but I'm now not sure how reliable measurement is.

We changed the coronata page to a No Taxon coronata species complex page.
