Another small bee - Halictus - female

Another small bee - Halictus - Female
Elkton, Douglas County, Oregon, USA
August 13, 2008
Size: approx. 3/8 inch
The closest looker I could find in the guide is Halictus tripartitus.

Am I even close?

Moved
Moved from Sweat Bees.

Halictus (Seladonia) female
could be H. confusus or if not tripartitus

Yes.
I can guarantee you have the correct family, but genus ID is often beyond my own expertise. I've been relying on John Ascher to assign genus and species. Why he has ignored this submission I cannot say. Moving to family for now.

I usually check ID request not the bee pages

ID Request
Sorry, John. Until Charley Eiseman pointed it out to me two days ago, I didn't know that your preference was to have bee images posted to ID Request. I'll review all my bee submissions, and those still needing an ID I'll move to ID Request. Also, in the future, I'll post all new bee images to ID Request.

Thanks for all your help.   :-P)
