Beach Fly #1 - Lispe

Beach Fly #1 - Lispe
Carver, Clackamas County, Oregon, USA
July 17, 2022
I believe a different species than the group submitted next. Shorter legs. But on the same 'beach' at the same time . This beach photo taken the previous year. Further the wings on the current are at about 60 degrees, while the previous zero degrees. I have no idea of the significance (if any) of such posture.

Lispe sp.
Lispe sp. with white palps.
… Roger Thomason, 27 November, 2023 - 3:22pm

I did notice the very striking palps when I submitted this originally. Reearching BG further I find this very similar generic image . Also in a muddy environment and with white palps. And another with the striking banded B/W abdoment. But Only one previous record for Oregon/Washington, here also in Carver at the same muddy farm pond .
