I think this is a shore fly since it was along the shore of a marsh, but I haven't seen any similar shore flies with bold black and white abdominal stripes like this fly has.

Yes, I knew that I'd seen a fly like this before, but I couldn't figure out what fly family it was in. I found examples much like this fly in my Muscidae files that are in the Lispe genus. Thanks for the help, John.
