Ant ID - Solenopsis molesta

Ant ID - Solenopsis molesta
Milwaukee, Milwaukee County, Wisconsin, USA
September 2, 2008
Size: 1 mm?
Very tiny ants on my kitchen counter. For scale, the blue on the photo is a lined white legal pad. So miniscule that I couldn't even see it was an ant until I took the macro photo. ID?

Great!
Only the second image of this species for BG, and a very nice photo to boot! Moving to guide page.

Agree...
Two-segmented clubbed antennae ID this girl as a grease-loving or thief ant (S. molesta). They can be as small as 1/32 of an inch.

ID
Perhaps it's Solenopsis molesta.
