Large, all-black ichneumonid with red legs, visiting Euphorbia esula flowers. 2 seen today. Scattered, small stands of flowering Euphorbia esula in open, disturbed, grass-dominated floodplain near stream and small ponds. Sunny morning to afternoon, light to gentle breeze, 30% clouds, 60 F to 90 F.

Elevation ca 4000 feet. Disturbed riparian corridor on stream restoration site within a patchwork of native and non-native grassland.

Specimen collected, will be sent to Brandon Claridge in hopes of a further ID. Collection number Sater #775.
