Moved
Moved from Tawny Emperor.

Last move for a while I hope - sorry about the goof
on my part.

Moved from Texas Tawny Emporer.

Moved from Empress Louisa.

flora
It appears that those from near Houston are traditionally called "flora". However, the name "texana" was described from near Corpus Christi, and it has been synonymized with "subpallida" described from Arizona. So, the names are a bit confusing, and the adults are variable. Regardless, this isn't louisa. Next time I'll make sure to double check which photos I have tagged before I move them all. Thanks J.D.

No worries

oops
Believe it or not, I moved this group by accident. I'll leave it here for now, but wanted to wait and find out for sure if it was louisa or another subspecies that is found in the Houston area. I can't tell for sure from the underside which these are, and I don't know where the transition from one to another takes place.

Moved from Asterocampa.

Tawny Emperor
It's a female of Asterocampa clyton. It is probably subspecies louisa.

Yep,
that would be it! Thanks so much! I can't stand not knowing what something is, so I look or ask until I find the answer (my kids are the same way). Thanks again!

I'm exactly
the same way.
