In an effort to rear Epiblema benignatum

set up multiple jars of stems/branchlets of Prairie sage, Artemisia ludoviciana, and in this case lower stems with roots attached surrounded by soil with loose organic matter (leaves mostly) to keep the roots/soil damp.

A few different insects emerged.
December 15, 2019: cleaning up rearing jars, a winter project, found this wasp, expired.
