I was a bit quick on this one
I was a bit quick on this one. It was identified in 2015 by someone else and I didn't check again. Thank you for the correction. The elytral punctuation is quite strong on this one. Do you have any criteria that allow you to easily separate it from other species of the genus despite the vestiture and the interstriae being more rounded?

 
No worries
I like to key in on the shape of the pronotum. H. salebrosus has a more constricted apical end with the base much wider. It's closer in shape to Hylurgops pinifex (but of course doesn't have the dual punctation as in Hylurgops).
