Andrena wilkella - female

Andrena wilkella - Female
West Newbury, Essex County, Massachusetts, USA
July 15, 2008

Andrena wilkella
female

this species is native to Europe

it flies into summer, when few native Andrena are flying

Aha, this answers a question
I had, but didn't pose, what's an Andrena doing in July?

Not a honey bee -
I think I can see facial fovea (depressions) which, if correct, would make this an Andrena.
I suggest to wait for more, and better information from others, especially John Ascher.
